Shandong, located in eastern China, is home to many industries such as steel production, chemical manufacturing, and transportation. The city has a long history of innovation, with its famous inventors including the inventor of the electric motor, Edison.
In contrast, Shenzhen, located in southern China, is often referred to as the "Silicon Valley" of China due to its thriving technology industry. The city has been a leader in developing new technologies such as mobile phones and smartphones, which have become popular around the world.
Both cities had impressive entries for their projects this year, but it was clear that Shenzhen had the upper hand. One of the standout projects was Shenzhen's "Smart City" initiative, which aimed to make the city more efficient and sustainable through the use of technology. The project included everything from smart traffic management systems to energy-efficient buildings.
Shandong, on the other hand, had several interesting projects, but it struggled to compete with Shenzhen's tech-focused approach. One notable entry was a project called "Green City," which aimed to reduce pollution by using renewable energy sources and promoting eco-friendly practices.
