Brahim Díaz is one of the most promising young footballers in Europe, having recently signed with AC Milan on a €17 million transfer from Sevilla FC. However, his time at the club has been anything but smooth sailing.
In his first season at AC Milan, Díaz struggled to make an impact, scoring just two goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. Despite this, he did manage to score four times in the UEFA Europa League during the same period.
However, things took a turn for the worse when Díaz was sent off in a match against Udinese in January 2020. This led to him being banned for three games, which further dented his confidence and performance levels.
Despite these setbacks, Díaz showed some signs of improvement towards the end of the season. He scored two goals in four matches as AC Milan secured a spot in the Coppa Italia final, where they lost 2-1 to Lazio.
The following season, Díaz continued to struggle, scoring just once in 24 league appearances. His form dipped even more after he suffered an injury, ruling him out of action for several months.
While Díaz's success rate at AC Milan so far has been mixed, it is clear that he still has plenty of potential to develop into a world-class player. With the right guidance and support, he could go on to achieve great things at the highest level of football.
